Senior Software Engineer, Chrome Identity
Job Summary
Job Description
Lead a team of engineers working on Chrome Identity across desktop and mobile platforms. Build features used by users and visible in Chrome UIs (account menu, first run experience, profile picker, etc.). Take ownership of design, implementation, and launch phases of projects. Collaborate with UX peers to refine product requirements. Make direct coding contributions critical to project success. Requires 5+ years of software development experience, including data structures/algorithms, testing, maintenance, and launching software products, along with experience in embedded operating systems and Large Language Models/NLP/Generative AI. The role involves working on a project critical to Google's needs, with opportunities for team and project switching.
Must have:
- 5+ years software development experience
- Data structures/algorithms expertise
- Experience with embedded OS
- Large Language Models/NLP/Generative AI experience
- Software design & architecture experience
- Testing, maintenance, and product launch experience
Good to have:
- UI design and implementation experience

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces (UIs).
