Intel is seeking a Test Manufacturing Supervisor in San José, Costa Rica. Responsibilities encompass safety, quality, scheduling, conflict resolution, and production schedule adherence within quality and cost objectives. The role demands optimizing area performance in safety, quality, output, and cost through staffing, training, and retention. This includes direct ownership of on-shift issues, effective employee staffing, shift scheduling, training plan creation, and monitoring certification levels. The supervisor will develop long-term manufacturing strategies and drive team results through goal setting, accountability, performance management, and fostering a productive environment. Minimum qualifications include an advanced Bachelor's or Licentiate degree in a relevant field, intermediate English, and unrestricted work authorization in Costa Rica.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to

  • Owns safety, quality, scheduling, and conflict resolution amongst staff and other stakeholders and assists in resolving operational, safety, and security issues.

  • Establishes tactical plans to ensure production schedules are met within established quality and cost objectives.

  • Ensures optimum total area performance in terms of safety, quality, output, and cost through staffing training development and retention of the group.

  • Assumes direct ownership and acts as the first responder of all on shift issues within assigned toolset or area.

  • Ensures effective employee staffing including workstation assignment, shift rotations, and PTO requests.

  • Owns shift schedule including workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, backup for absent employees, and shift rotations.

  • Establishes training plans for direct reports and monitor training performance against schedule to assure shift team has skills needed to sustain production.

  • Regularly reviews staffing certification levels that are tied to wafer ramp levels and ensures performance required number of certified individuals for each ramp threshold.

  • Develops long term strategies for manufacturing operations capabilities to support future requirements.

  • Responsible for enabling teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

  • Drives results by inspiring people, role modeling Intel values, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced student of Bachelor's or Licentiate Degree in Industrial Production, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanics, Computer Engineering or related field.

  • Intermediate English Level.

  • Permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Problem Solving Methodologies.

  • LEAN and Six Sigma.

  • Demonstrated proficiency on manufacturing systems in a dynamic environment.

  • 1+ years of experience as Prod Supervisor/People Manager.

  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.
