Job Description

As a Total Rewards (TR) and HR Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) Compensation specialist, you will be part of Intel's HR M&A team that supports our global corporate development roadmap including acquisition, divestitures & smart capital activities. You will directly support business across Intel both within our foundry and product business units.

In this role, you will build relationships with managers and employees, influence, coach and implement total reward solutions with impacted employee populations. The incumbent will have a deep understanding of HR policies and practices, in particular total rewards, and a proven track record of exercising good judgment and problem solving to regularly resolve business challenges.

This role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leads the design of compensation and benefits programs based on a thorough knowledge of plan features, funding mechanisms and government regulations which meet organizational objectives and provide value to employees.
  • Conducts position evaluations, job classifications, assessing the budgetary impact of compensation decisions and providing oversight of compensation compliance with regulations and labor laws.
  • Researches and analyzes competitive compensation and benefits practices in the job market.
  • Assists and collaborates, as appropriate, in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual salary review program for regular staff employees.
  • Assists with compliance and governance of all compensation plans and programs including identifying risks and participating in various audits.
  • Designs and applies compensation related tools, process and resources for managers and employees.
  • May provide consulting and counsel in support of or in partnership with the business aligned compensation leaders regarding executive compensation related issues.
  • Serves as the point of contact to administer Benefits and Retirement programs/plans and manage the relationships with external vendors and/or consultants on the design, strategy and continual execution of these programs.
  • Coordinates with plan administrators, insurance carriers and the payroll office in the design of a comprehensive benefits package to meet the needs of the workforce.
  • Assists with compliance and governance of all compensation and benefits plans and programs including identifying risks and participating in various internal and possibly mandated government audits and testing.
  • This may also include partnering with Legal to prepare responses to a variety of audiences including plan participants/employees, and plan committees.
  • Contribute to due diligence efforts during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, ensuring a smooth transition of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure the proper handling of sensitive employee compensation and benefits data, adhering to data privacy and security regulations.
  • Partner with benefits providers, consultants, and third party vendors to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of compensation and benefits programs.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel's immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, OR a related field with 5+ years of HR and/or total rewards experience or a Master of Science, MBA or a Master of Art’s degree, with 3+ years of HR and/or total rewards experience related experience
  • 2+ years of Mergers and Acquisitions experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Stakeholder management: Collaborate across management levels within and outside of HR, including partnering closely with the Corporate Development leaders and team, Business Unit leaders, and the HR M+A legal team.
  • Analytics: Synthesize data and determine the right course of action to address business challenges within a given deal.
  • Organization + Business Acumen: Comprehend how things work internally - from the interconnected political, social, and information networks to the processes and structures that shape how things get done.
  • HR and Legal Acumen: Assess issues in the context of legal parameters and an organization's policies, processes, structures and capabilities to formulate realistic plans; familiarity with labor and employment law principles in the US and worldwide, with support from the HR M+A Legal team.
  • Relationship Management: Build trusting relationships that allow you to provide both practical and strategic guidance.
