One Of Us is a visual effects studio founded in London in 2004 by co-directors Rachael Penfold, Dominic Parker and Tom Debenham.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the VFX work from pre-production through to post-production, collaborating with the CCO to ensure that the creative vision is aligned with the project's goals and client expectations.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources in close relationship with the VFX producer to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
Provide creative direction and guidance to the VFX team, including CG artists, animators, and compositors, by working closely with the CG Supervisor, 2D Supervisor, and Animation Director, ensuring that all VFX work meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.
Collaborate with clients, directors, producers, and other stakeholders to understand their vision and translate it into stunning visual effects. You will be the representative of One Of Us for the show client team.
Stay up-to-date with the latest VFX technologies, tools, and techniques, providing technical solutions and troubleshooting issues that arise during the VFX process.
Review and approve all VFX work, ensuring they meet the required quality and creative standards, and provide constructive feedback to the VFX teams to improve the quality of their work.
Conduct regular dailies to ensure consistency and excellence in all VFX deliverables.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding VFX-related matters, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues.
Strategize the show in its entirety, determining how to deliver and present to the client, thinking big picture, and ensuring the VFX Supervisor is the ultimate driving force, always thinking ahead.
Lead and mentor the VFX team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment, providing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Conduct regular team meetings with the VFX producer to discuss progress, address challenges, and share best practices.
Ensure that all VFX work adheres to our established pipeline and collaborate closely with the Head of VFX to guarantee that the deliverables meet our rigorous standards.
Occasionally work with new project teams to develop methodologies, assist with bidding, and collaborate with concept teams to win future projects.
Participate in client pre-production creative meetings and effectively relay the information and decisions made to the VFX team.

Key skills and Attributes:
Knowledge of VFX software and tools, such as Maya, Nuke, Houdini, and Shotgrid.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for VFX production.
Strong creative and technical skills, with a deep understanding of VFX technologies and techniques.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple teams simultaneously and effectively communicate creative ideas to artists in a way that resonates with their individual strengths and roles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Adaptable to change with the ability to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude.
Self awareness and ability to resolve and diffuse any hurdles, treating colleagues and clients with kindness and respect.
Driven to make things better with flexibility to change course when needed.
Experience:
Proven experience as a VFX Supervisor or in a similar role within the visual effects industry.
A portfolio showcasing exceptional VFX work and a strong creative vision.
Experience working in a vendor company and collaborating with external clients.
Experience in on-set supervision.
Thorough understanding of colour theory and film application for live-action features.
A strong network of industry contacts and relationships.
Hours and location
Our core hours are 9.30am to 6.30pm or 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday.
We have a great office in Old Street where you would be based. This is an office based role where initially you would be required to work from the studio up to 5 days of the week depending on the volume of client reviews. We would offer flexibility on your hours in the studio with some home working possible.
