Job Description

Apex Logic is looking for an experienced Government Sales Director who is easy to work with and demonstrates a passion for the job by providing strategic advice, guidance and directives to internal and external stakeholders, in addition to having revenue generation responsibility for new and existing Government agency clients. This position will be based within the DC Beltway, Virginia, Maryland, Washington Metropolitan Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with executive team to enhance GTM strategy and be responsible for fully realizing that strategy
  • Step in to build and nurture existing accounts and develop deep relationships with new clients
  • Build and execute the Government sales strategy, process, and hiring plan as the company grows
  • Attend trade shows, events, and customer roundtables to build relationships and our brand in the field
  • Work with operations on the strategies and implementation of CRM, Pipeline Management, and Analytic tools
  • This position will align internal resources and partners to sell and support with a focus on growing overall revenue while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities
  • Manage relationships at the executive level within the account
  • Fulfill wide range of requests for information from prospective customers
  • Stay abreast of federal policies which drive the development and usage of analytics across these departments and agencies
  • Maintain accurate revenue forecasts
  • Develop a basic understanding of company pricing, licensing procedures and approvals matrix

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience of software sales experience
  • 3+ years in a sales leadership role
  • 7 + years of selling technical solutions to US Federal Government agencies
  • A proven ability of working with Government Services and a developed professional network
  • Deep knowledge of government contracts and procurement vehicles
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring sales professionals
  • Ability to work with a virtual cross-functional team to create solutions
  • Strong presentation skills and proposal writing skills
  • Experience working in or desire to work in an early-stage company
  • Self motivated and proactive work style, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment in support of our clients during emergency situations
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must comply with all “drug free workplace” requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions
