Job Description

Uken is looking for a talented 3D Artist to create assets for mobile titles. You will be working with game teams to build 3D assets for cross-platform games. Responsibilities include taking ownership of 3D art, creating and editing assets using software like 3ds Max, Maya, and Photoshop, maintaining assets, collaborating with designers and engineers, and working on iOS, Android, and Unity platforms. This is a 6-month contract role. You will also guide and mentor junior artists.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of game industry art experience
  • Portfolio displaying 2D and 3D characters and objects
  • Expertise in 3ds Max, Photoshop, Maya, Substance Painter
  • Outstanding design skills in color, form, lighting, composition
  • Adaptability to work within specific styles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience guiding and providing direction to junior artists

Job Details

Uken is looking for a talented and experienced 3D Artist who is keen on applying their skills to a variety of mobile titles including our flagship product and new products. We're looking for someone who loves games and is up to date on the state of the game and tech industries. You will be working directly with the game teams and designers to build 3D assets for cross-platform and cross-device games. This role reports to a Senior Artist. This is a 6 month contract. 


As a Ukenite, you'll be working on meaningful things like:

  • Taking ownership of the 3D art in our games, from ideation to implementation
  • Creating, and editing 3D assets in 3ds Max, Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop and Substance Painter
  • Maintaining art assets on a regular basis to support game enhancements 
  • Recreating and optimizing assets from existing files
  • Collaborating closely with game designers and engineers to finalize art assets
  • Working on a variety of platforms - iOS, Android, and Unity
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior artists


Your background should include: 

  • 3+ years of game industry art experience 
  • Portfolio, displaying a variety of characters and objects in 2d and 3d 
  • Expertise in 3ds Max, Photoshop, Maya, Substance Painter and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Outstanding design skills in color, form, lighting, composition, anatomy, and aesthetic appeal
  • Adaptability to work within specific styles, including those defined by other artists or art directors
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to thrive under pressure in a fast paced environment without sacrificing quality 
  • Experience guiding and providing direction to junior artists
