Your New Role

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is looking for a Payments Analyst to join the Payments – Financial solutions team. The team is responsible for managing the operational relationship with WBD’s payment service providers. The candidate will use data to identify trends and opportunities that can be summarized and shared with stakeholders to support financial business decisions. The candidate will work closely with the Director of Payments, Payment Managers and collaborate with other members of Product, Engineering, Procurement, and Global Treasury teams.

With an impressive global brand footprint this role will provide data analysis across all WBD properties which includes Max “The One to Watch”, Discovery+, Harry Potter Studio Tours, DC Universe Infinite, and more.

Your Role Accountabilities

You will drive opportunities through data by:

  • Working closely with Payments and Fraud Team to understand business objectives, data requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Leverage robust analytical abilities to process and interpret extensive datasets, uncovering critical insights to guide decision-making.
  • Maintaining high data quality and addressing any discrepancies.


You will improve data access and insights through automation by:

  • Reducing manual dependency on pulling data.
  • Assisting in standardizing metrics, tables, and queries.

You will collaborate with teams to drive a one culture mindset, such as:

  • Partnering with Product and Engineering teams with identifying and investigating payment processing issues.
  • Delivering consistent data and reports to key stakeholders to keep them informed with the performance of payments for their line of business.

Support the Director of Payments with ad-hoc data requests and any special data related projects as necessary.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering and Procurement teams to gather and validate necessary payment data.
  • Deliver consistent data and reports to key stakeholders to keep them updated on any deficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Analytics or other similar discipline or comparable business experience.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in card payment analytics
  • At least 1+ years working with Payment Processors
  • General understanding of Card Payments, billing, tax, and reporting systems.
  • Good analytical skills displaying the ability to tell a story with data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across various departments and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with payment industry regulations is a plus.
