Backend Engineer (Node.js)

Our client is looking for an exceptional and passionate Backend Engineer to join them. You’ll have the opportunities to ship to thousands of users from day 1 and have significant ownership of the product. You’ll be building the most fun experience ever for global music fans!

As the Backend Engineer, you will:

• Scale and optimize our existing backend infrastructure.
• Contribute to the development of a robust architecture capable of supporting massive scale as we expand to new users and countries.
• Build internal tools we use for operations.
• Collaborate with the team to create new features for the app.
• Analyze trade-offs and address technical challenges related to key components of our backend.
• Participate in code and design reviews.

Ideal backgrounds are:

• Substantial experience with our stack: GCP, Node.js, Typescript, PostgreSQL.
• 5+ years experience building and scaling backend.
• Worked at consumer companies serving millions of users.
• Launched consumer apps on your own in the past.
• Love music and gaming.
• Experience with React Native is a bonus.
