The CG Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the show within the facility. They ensure clear communication to the 3D team and that 3D departments deliver on time. They are responsible for artistic cohesion with the client, advising on technical solutions, ensuring work quality, and managing the production department's assignments and scheduling. They collaborate on workflow strategies, manage shot continuity and quality control, mentor team members, and serve as a technical expert on projects. The role requires strong technical and leadership skills to manage large teams and prioritize tasks effectively.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 6 years of visual effects experience.
  • Strong technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent artistic and organizational skills.
  • Deep understanding of CG pipelines.
Good to have:
  • Experience in 3ds Max.
  • Keenness to learn proprietary software (Flowline).

Job Details

Le superviseur CG supervise les opérations quotidiennes du spectacle au sein de l'installation. Ils seront chargés d'assurer une communication claire avec l'équipe 3D au sein du spectacle et que les départements 3D livrent à temps. Avec le Superviseur VFX, ils sont responsables de la cohésion artistique avec le client.


Principales responsabilités
  • Travaille directement avec l'équipe de direction et d'autres superviseurs VFX pour déterminer et conseiller des solutions techniques
  • Garantit que la qualité du travail répond aux normes les plus élevées
  • Conseille et assure la livraison en temps opportun des tâches et de la planification du service de production
  • Collabore avec d'autres chefs de service sur les stratégies quotidiennes, de flux de travail et de pipeline, en fournissant une amélioration continue des processus et de la méthodologie.
  • Responsable du flux de travail, de l'organisation, de la continuité des shots, de la continuité des grains et des mesures de contrôle qualité
  • Il devra vérifier sur place le travail individuel d'autres artistes et évaluer la qualité et l'efficacité du travail de l'équipe
  • Encadre les membres de l’équipe et effectue des évaluations de performance
  • Évalue la qualité, résout les problèmes et les escalade si nécessaire
  • Agir à titre d'expert technique clé sur les projets ainsi que sur les installations
  • Autres tâches assignées


Qualifications
  • Baccalauréat dans un domaine pertinent ou équivalent requis
  • Au moins six (6) années d'expérience en effets visuels en direct sur des longs métrages de grande envergure
  • Démontre de solides capacités techniques et de leadership
  • Expérience dans la direction, le mentorat et la formation de grandes équipes
  • Compétences artistiques et organisationnelles exceptionnelles; comprend comment hiérarchiser les tâches et les missions nécessaires
  • Capacité à communiquer des pensées et des idées créatives et techniques clairement, verbalement et par écrit
  • Connaissance pratique approfondie des aspects techniques et artistiques de l'action réelle et des effets visuels, ainsi qu'une compréhension approfondie des pipelines CG
  • Expérience et connaissance de tous les domaines 3D (modélisation, rigging, texturing, développement de l'apparence, effets de personnages, effets spéciaux et éclairage) 
  • Envie d'apprendre Flowline (notre logiciel propriétaire)
  • Expérience dans 3ds Max (un atout)
  • Capacité à prendre des directives positivement, à bien travailler au sein d'une équipe et à prospérer sous la pression de délais serrés



The CG Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the show within the facility. They will be responsible for ensuring clear communication to the 3D team within the show, and that the 3D departments deliver on time. Along with the VFX Supervisor, they are responsible for artistic cohesion with the client.


Key Responsibilities
  • Works directly with the leadership team and other VFX Supervisors to determine and advise technical solutions
  • Ensures quality of work is of the highest standards
  • Advises and ensures timely delivery of production department assignments and scheduling
  • Collaborates with other department managers on dailies, workflow, and pipeline strategies, providing ongoing improvement to processes and methodology
  • Responsible for workflow, organization, shot continuity, grain continuity, and quality control metrics
  • Will be expected to spot check individual work of other artists and evaluate quality and efficiency of team’s work
  • Mentors team members and conducts performance evaluations
  • Assesses quality, problem solves, and escalates as needed
  • Serves as a key technical expert on shows as well as facility
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications
  • Bachelor`s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent required
  • Minimum six (6) years of live-action visual effects experience on high profile feature films
  • Demonstrates strong technical and leadership capabilities
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and training large teams
  • Exceptional artistic skills and organizational skills; understands how to prioritize the necessary tasks and assignments
  • Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas clearly, verbally, and in written form
  • Well rounded working knowledge of the technical and artistic aspects of live-action and visual effects, as well as a deep understanding of CG pipelines
  • Experience and knowledge of all 3D areas (modeling, rigging, texturing, look development, character FX, FX, and lighting)
  • Keenness to learn Flowline (our proprietary software)
  • Experience in 3ds Max (preferred)
  • Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team, and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
