Nous sommes un studio de codéveloppement qui travaille avec nos partenaires en Chine à la construction d'un jeu de console authentique et réaliste.  C'est l'occasion de travailler sur un jeu historique narratif qui en est aux premiers stades de production.

En tant que concepteur de niveaux techniques, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe de conception des niveaux et utiliserez votre expertise technique pour mettre en œuvre, optimiser et dépanner les niveaux de jeu, en veillant à ce qu'ils respectent les normes de conception et les normes techniques. En outre, vous serez impliqué dans la création de moments interactifs complexes pour la réalisation et les événements scriptés afin de maintenir l'engagement du joueur pendant les moments clés.

Responsabilités :

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec diverses équipes (art, son, animation, etc.) pour mettre en œuvre les éléments techniques du contenu du Level Design et des prototypes de gameplay.
  • Construire, scénariser et optimiser les environnements de jeu à l'aide d'outils et de technologies standard.
  • Fournir des solutions techniques et une assistance pour relever les défis de la conception des niveaux, les problèmes de performance et les complexités des scripts.
  • Collaborer avec les programmeurs pour développer et améliorer les outils et les systèmes de jeu qui permettent à l'équipe de conception de niveaux de fonctionner.
  • Créer une documentation complète et des fils de discussion dédiés pour garantir l'application des bonnes pratiques et des méthodologies.

Qualifications :

  • Baccalauréat en conception de jeux, en informatique ou dans un domaine connexe, ou expérience équivalente dans l'industrie en travaillant sur des titres AAA.
  • Expérience confirmée en tant que concepteur technique avec un accent particulier sur le soutien aux équipes de conception de niveau, avec au moins 2 titres de jeux.
  • Solides compétences en matière de scripts Blueprint avec Unreal Engine, et expérience en matière de scripts Python.
  • Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et capacité à résoudre des problèmes techniques.
  • Créatif et soucieux du détail, il est passionné par la création d'univers de jeu immersifs.
  • Solides compétences en matière de communication et de collaboration, et capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d'une équipe.
  • Flexibilité pour s'adapter à l'évolution des besoins et des délais des projets.

Technical Level Designer

NetEase Games Montréal, ThunderFire Group of NetEase Games - is one of the leading developers and publishers in the gaming industry. Focused on delivering the best quality gaming experience on console, PC and mobile to international markets, we warmly seek collaboration with talent around the world to produce masterpieces through innovation and inspiration.

We are a codevelopment studio working with our partners in China helping build an authentic realistic console game.  This is your chance to work on a narratively driven historical game in the early stages of production.

As a Technical Level Designer, you will work closely with the Level Design team, utilizing your technical expertise to implement, optimize, and troubleshoot game levels, ensuring they meet both design and technical standards. Additionally, you’ll be involved in creating complex interactive moments for Realization/Scripted Event to keep player engaged during key moments.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with various teams (art, sound, animation, etc.) to implement the technical elements of Level Design content and gameplay prototypes.
  • Build, script, and optimize game environments using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Provide technical solutions and assistance to address level design challenges, performance issues, and scripting complexities.
  • Collaborate with programmers to develop and improve tools and gameplay systems that empower the Level Design team.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and dedicated threads to ensure the application of good practices and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience working on AAA titles.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Designer with a focus on supporting Level Design teams, shipped at least 2 game titles.
  • Strong Blueprint scripting skills with Unreal Engine, and some Python scripting experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Creative and detail-oriented, with a passion for creating immersive game worlds.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs and timelines.
