Netflix seeks a Coordinator, Legal Workflows, Tools & Operations in Singapore to support its growing content acquisition and production across Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan. Responsibilities include analyzing content agreements, managing contract administration (execution, filing, database management), maintaining knowledge bases and spreadsheets, updating templates and forms, coordinating production contract collection, collaborating cross-functionally, identifying operational inefficiencies, and improving tools. The role requires contract management experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication, proficiency in Google Suite, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is mandatory, additional languages are valued.

We are currently looking for an experienced Coordinator to join our Singapore-based Business Affairs team, to help support our growing content acquisition & production efforts across Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan. The candidate will assist in scaling our regional content business, working alongside core cross-functional teams.


The successful candidate will have some prior contract management experience in a business or legal affairs setting. They will be highly-organized, self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, technology-oriented, and be able to juggle multiple responsibilities on a large portfolio of deals with unwavering attention to detail. They will also be excited and inspired by Netflix culture, and will be energized at the prospect of helping others work more effectively and efficiently. This is a demanding and fast-paced role that requires curiosity and significant initiative. This position will be based in Singapore.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret content agreements and accurately set up distribution windows and other rights attributes in our rights management system.

  • Maintain high alignment with cross-functional partners to assist with window set-up for the successful launch of titles on the Netflix Service.

  • Contract administration, including contract execution, filing and database management.

  • Create, update and maintain knowledge bases and spreadsheets tracking financials, credits, ongoing obligations, deal terms, etc.

  • Manage, maintain, and update local templates and forms as well as various dashboards, document and knowledge management systems.

  • Coordinate collection and dissemination of a large volume of production contracts.

  • Work cross-functionally to maintain alignment and facilitate communication between departments, and similarly-situated teams in other regions.

  • Identify operational and tool-related inefficiencies and collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop better solutions.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of contract management, rights management, or paralegal experience at either a global company or law firm; comfortable reviewing and analyzing contracts and legal documents.

  • High level of organization, attention to detail and the ability to keep multiple obligations and deadlines on-track in a very fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functionally and regionally. 

  • Learn about new tools quickly and identify opportunities for tool improvement.

  • Manage a high volume of information with great accuracy.

  • Think practically and be solution-oriented.

  • Respond positively to change, can pivot quickly and be open to new ideas with a willingness to tackle matters outside their area of expertise.

  • Curiosity in seeking to understand broader business objectives and priorities, and a deep appreciation of how other teams affect, and are affected by, their work.

  • Embrace and advocate for diversity in all its forms.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Airtable or other equivalent information management tools is highly valued.

  • Fluency in English - fluency in additional languages is highly valued.
