As a Creative Solutions Strategist at Yahoo, you will bridge creative and business objectives, crafting and delivering campaign concepts aligned with audience objectives and measurable results. You will develop strategic pitches, collaborate with internal and external teams, and ensure campaigns align with brand identity and client objectives. Key responsibilities include campaign development and strategy, pitch development and presentation, client relationship management, partnerships and innovation, cross-functional collaboration, campaign optimization, sales support and negotiation, creative oversight, and production and event expertise. The role requires a resilient mindset and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, challenging environments. This role requires expertise in video production, events, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

As the Creative Solutions Strategist at Yahoo, you will serve as the bridge between creative and business objectives, helping to craft and deliver compelling campaign concepts that match audience objectives and measurable results. You will play a pivotal role in developing strategic pitches that tell a story, collaborating with both internal and external teams to bring ideas to life from editorial collaborations to cutting-edge XR (Extended Reality) experiences, and ensuring that all campaigns are aligned with brand identity, audience insights, and client objectives. You’ll be instrumental in building strong relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring that all elements of the campaign are compelling from every angle, with a particular focus on integrating creative solutions across video production, digital, and possibly events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Development & Strategy: Lead the creation of innovative and strategic campaign concepts that seamlessly align with Yahoo and audience insights. Develop creative solutions that cater to both client objectives and Yahoo’s business goals.
     

  • Pitch Development & Presentation: Design impactful pitch decks and presentations, effectively communicating creative ideas to clients and stakeholders. Present concepts in a compelling and immersive way, ensuring the audience is fully engaged and excited by the campaign.
     

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and creative vision. Act as the main point of contact for client-facing communication, ensuring all expectations are met or exceeded.
     

  • Partnerships & Innovation: Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovative partnerships ranging from editorial content integrations to the development of immersive XR experiences. Leverage Yahoo’s diverse capabilities to create unique, standout campaigns.
     

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, design, and product) and external agencies/vendors to ensure seamless execution of creative concepts. Collaborate with production teams on video and event-based projects to bring campaigns to life.
     

  • Campaign Optimization: Ensure that creative campaigns are aligned with target KPIs and provide ongoing oversight, working with the analytics team to monitor success and adapt campaigns as needed to achieve the desired outcome.
     

  • Sales Support & Negotiation: Act as a creative partner to the sales team, ensuring that the proposed campaign solutions are both financially feasible and strategically sound. Pressure sales to ensure that the appropriate budget and resources are allocated to deliver the campaign effectively.
     

  • Creative Oversight: Oversee the development of creative assets from concept to execution, ensuring consistency and quality in all creative deliverables.
     

  • Production & Event Expertise: Leverage expertise in video production and event management to elevate creative campaigns, ensuring they are engaging and effective across all mediums. Experience in producing virtual or in-person events is a strong plus.
     

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Deep experience in a creative leadership role, with a strong background in developing and executing creative campaigns.
       

    • Proven experience in managing client relationships, presenting creative concepts, and leading cross-functional teams.
       

    • Expertise in video production and events, with a portfolio showcasing your ability to bring campaigns to life in dynamic and engaging ways.
       

  • Skills:

    • Strong creative and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to balance big-picture vision and detailed execution.
       

    • Proficiency in creating visually compelling pitch decks and presentations that tell a story and captivate an audience.
       

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and interact with senior-level clients.
       

    • Solid understanding of digital advertising and marketing trends, with an ability to apply that knowledge to creative solutions.
       

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
       

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
       

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Creative storytelling, the ability to take clients on the journey.

  • Experience with production and/or event management, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
     

  • Strong knowledge of Yahoo’s products and services, as well as industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in areas such as editorial partnerships and XR experiences.
     

  • Familiarity with the digital advertising ecosystem and an understanding of the impact of creative campaigns on business outcomes.
