Job Description

As a Customer Engineer, Security, at Google Cloud, you'll work with leading companies to implement and support Google Cloud security solutions. You'll collaborate with sales and engineering teams, address customer technical challenges, and deliver compelling presentations and demos. Responsibilities include identifying business opportunities, resolving technical blockers, validating solutions, and preparing product messaging. You will also travel to customer sites and conferences. This role requires strong technical skills in cloud security, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and experience working with enterprise clients.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of experience in technical sales engineering in a cloud computing environment
  • Experience presenting to technical and executive stakeholders
  • Work with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships
Good to have:
  • Cloud or Security industry certification
  • Experience implementing enterprise security solutions (SIEM/SOAR, threat detection, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity market trends (ransomware, zero trust, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment, or equivalent experience in a similar customer-facing role (e.g., within a professional services, solutions architect, or systems engineering team).
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in the Cloud or Security industry.
  • Experience in implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g., SIEM/SOAR, threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems).
  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical and compliance objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
  • Work with all Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in customer and partner environments.
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships, own technical aspects of solutions, deliver technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts and demos to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight our solutions value proposition using techniques including presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response documents.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events where applicable.
