As a Data Engineer Team Leader at Play Perfect, you will lead a team, guiding them through the onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration, and establishing key processes for operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage significant responsibilities, and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment while providing leadership and mentorship to team members. Your responsibilities include creating new data solutions, supporting and optimizing existing ones, and managing a data structure and model that reflects business needs.

Must have:

Minimum 2 years of management experience.
Vast experience in data modeling.
5+ years of experience with Python.
2+ years of experience with Spark.
2+ years of experience with DBT.
Extensive experience with Git.
Proficient in DWH methodologies and best practices.
Experience transforming data into visual insights.

Good to have:

Experience with BigQuery.
Experience with Looker.
BA/BSC degree in related field.

As a Data Engineer Team Leader, you will join the team that owns all of our data transformations, modeling, and optimization.
Responsibilities

Lead a team, guiding them through the onboarding process and ensuring smooth integration.
Establish and manage key processes to ensure operational efficiency.
Work closely with cross-functional teams and various interfaces to drive team performance and achieve goals.
Manage significant team responsibilities and handle high-pressure demands and urgent tasks effectively.
Make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, helping them grow professionally.
Creating new data solutions while supporting and optimizing existing ones.
Managing a data structure & model, which supports and reflects the actual business needs.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of management experience required.
Vast experience in data modeling.
5+ years of experience with Python.
2+ years of experience with Spark.
2+ years of experience with DBT.
Extensive experience with Git.
Proficient in DWH methodologies and best practices (BigQuery - advantage).
Experience transforming data into visual insights and building dashboards in a BI platform (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, Looker etc. Looker - advantage).
BA/BSC degree in: Information systems / Industrial Engineering or related field required.
