Job Description

As an Engineering Manager, Cloud Networking at Google, you will build and lead a team of engineers responsible for designing and implementing various GCP networking cloud services and infrastructure components. You'll drive software best practices, develop and implement plans to achieve team goals, and continuously improve team performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage large-scale projects across multiple international sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, product launches, and technical leadership, along with a deep understanding of cloud networking infrastructure and GCP. Responsibilities include building and mentoring engineering teams, setting team strategy, and representing the team to senior management and stakeholders.

Must have:

8+ years software development experience
5+ years launching software products
3+ years technical leadership
Experience with GCP or other public clouds
Team management & project oversight

Good to have:

Experience building large-scale infrastructure
Experience with cloud WAN, SDN, security, and cost optimization

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Experience with cloud WAN, networking infrastructure, software defined networking, security and network cost optimization with Google Cloud Platform or other public cloud platforms.
