The Enterprise Applications Engineer will be responsible for administering and managing third-party enterprise applications. This role involves configuring and customizing software solutions, writing integration scripts, creating automation workflows, managing software deployments, and troubleshooting issues across the application stack. The engineer will collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure applications align with organizational needs while maintaining system stability and performance.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years experience in administering third-party applications.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, Apex).
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Familiar with a relational database querying language (e.g., SOQL, SQL).
  • Experienced with source code management/version control.
  • Able to transform business requirements into effective solutions.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and building custom integrations.
Good to have:
  • Experience with administering Jira, Confluence, Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Experienced with implementing and managing cloud-based applications using SSO solutions.
  • Comfortable managing sensitive data in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent people skills; communicate clearly.

About the Position

We are seeking an engineer to join our expanding team that specialises in the administration and management of third-party enterprise applications. This role sits at the intersection of operations, systems administration and engineering, requiring someone who can effectively bridge the gap between off-the-shelf solutions and our firm’s specific needs through customisation, integration and automation.

The ideal candidate has experience in object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, Javascript, Apex, Groovy) and a strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python. You should be comfortable working with the command line and familiar with version control systems. More importantly, you should have a mindset for problem-solving and an ability to understand how enterprise software solutions fit into the broader IT ecosystem.

In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and customising third-party software solutions, writing integration scripts, creating automation workflows, managing software deployments and troubleshooting issues across the application stack. You will collaborate closely with both technical and business teams to ensure that our enterprise applications align with organisational needs while maintaining system stability and performance. This position provides an opportunity to work with modern enterprise technologies and to develop expertise in systems integration and implementation.

About You

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in administering enterprise-wide, third-party applications (e.g., Salesforce, Jira, Tableau)
  • Experienced with an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Apex, Groovy) 
  • Have strong knowledge of scripting languages; a preference for scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python is a plus 
  • Familiar with a relational database querying language (e.g., SOQL, SQL)
  • Experienced with source code management/version control
  • Able to transform business requirements into effective solutions and workflows using various methods, including technical skills and UX design
  • Experienced with administering one or more of the following: Jira Datacenter, Jira Cloud, Confluence, Salesforce and Tableau; familiarity with other similar products is a plus 
  • Have strong experience with RESTful APIs and building custom integrations between systems
  • Experienced with implementing and managing cloud-based applications using SSO solutions
  • Comfortable managing sensitive data in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Have excellent people skills; communicate clearly with colleagues and external partners
  • Self-starter with an eye for continuous improvement; able to meet problems with innovative solutions
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
