Project description

We’re looking to strengthen our Firmware team with a skilled developer focused on creating and implementing embedded security solutions. The ideal candidate will work on designing secure firmware for a wide range of applications, collaborating closely with our security lead and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, robust firmware features.

Responsibilities

Design and implement embedded firmware enabling a wide range of security features

Develop new software features and enhancements within pre & post silicon environments

Develops and execute test plans to evaluate functionality, security, and efficiency of firmware utilizing emulation and evaluation boards for pre-silicon and post silicon testing.

Work closely with security lead and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.

Triage, analyse, debug, fix and drive issues/tasks to closure.

Skills

Must have

A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in firmware development on ARM and RISC V microprocessors.

Extensive hands on experience with low level development in C / C++ and assembly.

Hardware board bring up and debugging(HW debuggers via JTAG/standard debugging methods).

Hands on with one or more peripherals/controllers like UART, I2C, SPI, QSPI etc.

Proficient in defining, designing and developing manual/Automation test cases for firmware functional level testing and system level testing.

Candidate must be available to work out of AMD Whitefield Office on most working days

Experience in semiconductor domain preferred.

Quick learning and self-motivated.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Bachelors or masters in EE or CS or equivalent is required

Nice to have

Knowledge of RTOS, Cryptography, Platform Security and Content Protection concepts

Scripting languages (Perl, Python, etc.) for test automation development.
