Job Description

This role involves developing new integrated semiconductor wafer processes for Google's next-generation quantum devices. Responsibilities include developing multi-wafer 3D integrated processes and TSVs (through Si vias), exploring new materials for quantum devices, owning and troubleshooting fabrication equipment, implementing procedures and documentation, and training technicians and engineers on production and development tools.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience developing and sustaining semiconductor fabrication processes in a cleanroom environment
  • Experience in one or more conventional wafer fabrication areas
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree in related technical field
  • 6 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments
  • Experience in MEMS device fabrication, 3D integration, and wafer level packaging
  • Experience with etching, thin film, materials characterization, CAD tools, wafer level probing, failure analysis, and packaging

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

  • 6 years of experience working in semiconductor device R&D or production environments.
  • Experience in MEMS device fabrication, 3D integration, and wafer level packaging.
  • Experience with etching, thin film, materials characterization, CAD tools, wafer level probing, failure analysis, and packaging.

In this role, you will be developing new integrated semiconductor wafer processes. You will develop novel fabrication techniques and process transfer, create proper documentation effectively and summarize and communicate results, and train others on the proper use of process equipment. You will collaborate effectively with fellow teammates.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
