Job Description

The Head of Strategy and Operations will play a key part in advancing Moloco's Streaming Monetization product (MSM) to meet client needs and drive significant revenue growth. This role involves working closely with Sales leaders and teams to develop and execute market strategies. The individual will also collaborate with regional Streaming Monetization Sales teams. The core responsibilities include market research, leading strategy discussions, revenue analytics and billing, business operations and planning, sales enablement, and managing Ad Operation vendors. This position requires a strong leader with a global mindset and the ability to manage programs, execute strategies, and drive the team forward.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of Strategy Consulting, Sales Operations, or Sales Leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of B2B Sales motions
  • Proven track record of driving top line growth
  • Ability to challenge and persuade cross-functional audiences
  • Experience in AdTech and performance marketing
Good to have:
  • Experience in media, entertainment, and/or streaming/OTT
  • Past work in a fast-paced startup environment

The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco: 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in advancing our Streaming Monetization product (MSM), ensuring it meets client needs and drives significant revenue growth. You'll work closely with Sales leaders and teams to develop and execute market strategies that propel our platform forward.

Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with the regional Streaming Monetization Sales teams, ensuring regional insights are seamlessly integrated into our strategies. Your efforts will be crucial for driving global growth and maintaining our competitive edge.

The Opportunity: 

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a global mindset who is a top-class program manager, a strong executor, and a passionate strategist who knows how to zoom out, harmonize different perspectives, and move their team forward once decisions are made. You have a growth mindset and love to work with cross-functional teams to create real value. You understand the global market and customers, and know how to win and scale in the market as a strategist. Core focus areas include:

  • Market Research: understanding our ideal customers and who they work with, mapping the competitive landscape, and identifying potential white spaces and pockets of revenue.
  • Leading Strategy Discussions: managing the preparation, information gathering, cross-functional collaboration, and final output for strategic discussions with Moloco leadership.
  • Revenue Analytics & Billing: maintaining systems for visibility into revenue and projecting future revenue outlook and ensuring efficient billing to publishers and advertisers.
  • Business Ops & Planning: setting up OKRs and tracking progress against them. Managing customer pipelines and providing visibility across the MSM org. Running MSM-wide discussions and working with Finance & People teams for capacity planning and headcount asks.
  • Sales Enablement: supporting the sales team to hit our revenue goals. Building a common repository for pitches, upselling new products to customers, and onboarding new business team members. Conducting training sessions to upskill the business team.
  • Managing Ad Operation Vendors: hiring 3P vendors for managing campaign operations for certain products or customers.

How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me? 

  • 10+ years of Strategy Consulting, Sales Operations, or Sales Leadership experience.
  • Deep understanding of B2B Sales motions, from top of funnel lead generation to long term value sustainability, combining strong analytical ability with a deep understanding of real-life seller and customer dynamics.
  • Proven track record of driving top line growth via strategic initiatives in a global, fast-paced, B2B sales setting.
  • Ability to challenge and persuade cross-functional audiences to act - from peers around the org to senior executives.
  • Experience in AdTech and performance marketing, ideally working with machine learning powered products.
  • Experience in media, entertainment, and/or streaming/OTT.
  • Bonus points: past work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Our Compensation And Benefits (for United States Residents Only)

In accordance with various state laws, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. We also offer a competitive benefits package.

Base Pay Range:

$205,600 - $308,400 USD
