The Junior Account Strategist in the Performance Pod at Google works with businesses of all sizes to develop and execute effective advertising strategies. Responsibilities include building and managing client relationships, understanding their business challenges and marketing objectives, and presenting Google advertising solutions to meet those goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, and excellent communication to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The strategist will develop data-driven analyses and recommendations, present them to clients, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. A deep understanding of Google's advertising products and how they can be applied to various marketing objectives is crucial. The position demands proactive collaboration, effective communication, and a commitment to achieving business growth targets.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advertising/Sales/Marketing experience
  • Data analysis & spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving & organizational skills
  • Client relationship management
Good to have:
  • Experience with Search Ads 360 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software
  • Experience with third-party tools customization

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experienced in data analysis, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, and metric tracking.
  • Experience with third-party tools customization for search advertising (e.g., Search Ads 360 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Work proactively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workflows and projects are completed on time.
  • Plan for, and achieve, business growth targets, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Develop data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify opportunities with recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
