Synechron is seeking a motivated Jr. Java Developer to join our technology team, contributing to the development of scalable and robust microservices-based applications. This role provides an opportunity for growth in Java programming, working with modern frameworks and messaging systems, supporting enterprise-level projects. As a key team member, you will help deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs and technical standards, enabling innovative digital transformation efforts.
Software Requirements
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Java programming, with practical experience in Java 8+
- Experience working with Spring Boot for building microservices
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka for messaging and event-driven architectures
- Basic knowledge of Oracle database systems and SQL query development
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization and deployment tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with other databases or data management systems
Overall Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Support integration with messaging systems such as Kafka for real-time data exchange
- Collaborate with senior developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance
- Contribute to system documentation and technical design artifacts
- Stay updated on emerging Java frameworks and development tools to continually improve skillset

Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in Java development
- Proven experience with microservices architecture and Spring Boot framework
- Hands-on knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging systems
- Experience with Oracle databases and SQL query optimization
- Prior involvement in enterprise application development is a plus
- Exposure to cloud deployment and containerization is desirable
Day-to-Day Activities
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement microservices modules and APIs
- Assist in integrating messaging systems like Kafka into applications
- Support ongoing development, testing, and deployment of Java-based solutions
- Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and system errors with guidance from senior team members
- Contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and documentation efforts
- Engage in continuous learning to adapt new technologies and best practices
- Communicate progress and issues effectively within the development team
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical field
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus (e.g., Oracle Java certifications)
