The Role

Given this data rich landscape, we are looking for a seasoned technical leader to manage the team of Machine Learning engineers who work closely with our creative, engineering, and product management teams to help build intelligent creative tools that help Netflix bring more joy to our members. The team uses a range of cutting edge technologies like machine learning & computer vision and this leader would help guide their roadmap and charter.

What you will do in this role:

  • Oversee end-to-end quality and operational excellence in promotional strategies.

  • Hire, inspire, and grow high-performing team members

  • Learn from and innovate closely with world renowned creative teams

  • Partner with product management and engineering to define and execute on high impact x-functional roadmaps

  • Lead innovation at Netflix by leveraging the right state-of-the-art methods in statistical analyses, machine learning, and computer vision to solve business problems

This role is for you if:

  • You have a proven track record of applying machine learning with industrial-scale data 

  • You excel at thinking through a business problem and solving it by leveraging analytics, and data science. 

  • You excel at partnering with business & creative teams as much as you do with technical teams

  • You have deep technical expertise in Machine Learning & Computer Vision

  • You have a PhD/MS degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field and have 10 years of industry experience.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $360,000 - $920,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
