Job Description

The Marketing Manager for Northern Europe will be a key player in the Global Marketing team. The role involves developing and executing marketing strategies for the Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg) and the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland). Responsibilities include market analysis, public relations, campaign planning, event management, sales enablement, and relationship management with agencies and partners. The manager will also be responsible for increasing brand awareness and driving adoption of Axon’s product portfolio. The position requires a deep understanding of the public safety market and the ability to adapt strategies to the unique needs of each country. The role is based in Amsterdam and requires collaboration across multiple teams.

You'll have the agility of working within a small, in-region sales and marketing team while benefiting from the resources and backing of a profitable, publicly traded company. As part of Axon’s centralized marketing function, you’ll collaborate closely across regions and departments to ensure consistent, high-impact initiatives.

As the Marketing Manager, Northern Europe, you will be a key player on our Global Marketing team, focused on providing life-saving solutions to public safety and security agencies worldwide. You’ll see firsthand the impact of your work, hearing directly from customers how our products help save lives. The better we do our jobs, the more lives we protect and the greater the positive impact we make on global communities.

What You’ll Do

Location: Amsterdam
Reports to: Vice President of International Marketing

Own the Northern Europe Marketing Function

  • Act as a market expert, drawing from research, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to most effectively position the Axon promise across customer sets.
  • Lead the development and execution of the marketing strategy for the Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg) and the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland) and adapt it to unique country needs and customer considerations.
  • Increase awareness and shift perception in our core policing market, and create a pipeline to drive adoption of Axon’s growing product portfolio.
  • Stay attuned to global public safety trends, regulatory developments, and local public affairs landscapes to inform marketing strategies.
  • Manage agencies and other external partners to deliver on your region's marketing objectives.
  • Own overall market metrics including events ROI, ad and sponsorship ROS, lead progression, and pipeline influence.

Public Relations & Public Affairs

  • Work with our public affairs agencies to develop and execute key PR and public affairs campaigns, ensuring alignment with both global and local business objectives.
  • Proactively manage Axon’s reputation and enhance brand visibility by responding to emerging issues, managing crises, and securing strategic media placements.
  • Collaborate with the corporate communications team to ensure that messaging is consistent, timely, and relevant for both external audiences and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with government affairs teams to support advocacy efforts and policy initiatives, positioning Axon as a leader in the public safety industry.

Plan and Execute Marketing Campaigns & Events

  • Collaborate with our events and digital teams to plan, manage, and execute in-person, hybrid, and webinar events.
  • Create and implement integrated marketing campaigns that include case studies, video content, digital campaigns, and public relations strategies.
  • Drive new, creative approaches to reach key audiences and personas using various channels and content mediums.
  • Deliver consistent and meaningful customer experiences and events that generate new and repeat business.
  • Manage regional brand presence, including in online channels (social, web).
  • Track ROI, engagement, and audience feedback to refine and optimize campaign and event strategies.

Sales Enablement

  • Provide strategic insights into Axon’s go-to-market motion and competitive positioning to create and progress opportunities.
  • Create and deploy field-facing enablement assets, sales playbooks, and content that aligns with priority selling scenarios.
  • Develop and execute strategies in partnership with the sales team to promote cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

Manage Relationships

  • Collaborate with agency partners to coordinate media outreach, co-marketing initiatives, and customer reference opportunities.
  • Manage internal relationships to build cohesive product launch plans, adapt content for local markets, and support the sales team in achieving their goals.
  • Foster strong ties with public relations, public affairs, and external communications teams to ensure a unified, impactful message across regions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally at a public safety, SaaS or technology company
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies and managing external or in-house agencies
  • Expertise in digital/growth marketing, events and public relations or public affairs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to speak and write English fluently
  • Experience working with customers in Northern Europe (Benelux, Nordics)
