Job Description

DXC Luxoft Financial Services seeks a Senior PL-SQL Developer to design and build data solutions with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include working on projects for major investment banks, leveraging modern software development practices (Scrum), and staying current with database tools and frameworks. The ideal candidate will be diligent, tenacious, and delivery-focused, building high-quality, resilient, and maintainable solutions. Experience with AWS/Snowflake is a plus. This role requires proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, XML, JSON, ETL, DWH principles, sharding/clustering, dynamic SQL optimization, and T-SQL. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Must have:

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
Extensive experience in software development
Oracle PL/SQL & XML/JSON expertise
Understanding of ETL, DWH principles
Sharding and clustering knowledge
Dynamic SQL optimization (2+ years)
Good knowledge of T-SQL (3+ years)
Strong analytical skills

Good to have:

Financial domain knowledge
Market-data environment experience
Java and Snowflake experience
AWS experience

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Data Engineer who can design and build with minimum supervision solutions for our team. The person needs to be knowledgeable on modern software development practices including Scrums, be up to date with the latest Database tools and frameworks and be able to work with the existing team to deliver solutions. The ideal candidate will be diligent, tenacious and delivery focused with a track record of building high quality solutions that are resilient and maintainable. Use of cloud technology is increasing, so experience working with AWS/ Snowflake would be beneficial.

Must have

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in software development

Proven experience working with Oracle PLSQL & XML Jason

Understanding of ETL, main DWH principles

Understanding of sharding and clustering.

Optimization of dynamic SQL (2+ year)

Good knowledge of T-SQL (3+ years)

Strong analytical skills

BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or related field or equivalent work experience

Good communication skills

Able to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment

Nice to have

Financial domain knowledge

Experience in a market-data environment is a plus

Proven experience working with Java and Snowflake
