Key responsibilities:
Overall responsible for optimizing the procurement spend across the Warehouse and handling, services, and CHG covering all brands of Maersk Group
Enable sustainable and profitable growth through best-in-class sourcing, optimizing operational behaviours and supplier innovation.
Work close to Product & Delivery departments to develop smart solutions and support business growth through a thorough understanding of the commercial opportunities and solutions.
Ensure compliance is managed to the expectations of the Maersk internal policies and procurement guidelines processes.
Manage vendor relationships including performance management on strategic and tactical levels in line with portfolio scope.
Spearhead and perform supplier market/category/supply risk review and develop a Total Value Ownership model in collaboration with all internal customers.
Ensure compliance to global and local Maersk´s Business Principles, policies and standards and guide internal stakeholders on procurement fundamentals and processes.
Contracts drafting in English (In conjunction with Area Legal experts).
Ensure maintenance of Procurement Master Data (including on – and off-boarding vendor).
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics; Engineering; Business Administration, Economy, or related areas.
3+ years of Procurement and Operations experience in the inland freight industry.
Outstanding Negotiation, partnering and influencing skills.
General understanding of finance and accounting concepts. · In-depth understanding of best-in-class procurement practices (strategic sourcing, contracting, negotiation, etc.).
Experience in TCO initiatives and project management.
Advanced English and Spanish is a must.
Strong background in MS Office tools and Transportation Management Systems.
Ability to influence and drive change across multiple functional units.
Ability to interpret financial data and apply it to decision-making.
Organization and problem-solving skills.
Strong planning and prioritizing (based on impact) skills to manage work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high-level goals in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both on their own, as well as and as part of a cross-departmental team. ·
Ability to constructively question and bring change. Out-of-the-box thinking when looking for new solutions & initiatives.
Teamwork and collaboration skills.
Work well under pressure & short timelines. Driven by ambiguous environment.
Influence different levels of stakeholders internally.
