As a Product Manager for Cloud Storage Security and Governance at Google, you'll be responsible for building products ensuring the security and privacy of Google Cloud Storage (GCS) customer data. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, UX, sales, and finance to guide products from conception to launch. This involves defining product roadmaps, operationalizing strategy, driving the execution of GCS security and governance capabilities, and accelerating adoption and business growth. You'll need to understand the challenges of building a service at Google Cloud Storage's scale and scope. Key responsibilities include translating PRDs into OKRs, collaborating with partner teams during product development, and understanding market opportunities and testing.
Must have:
  • 5+ years product management experience
  • 2+ years experience in data storage product management
  • 2+ years in security/privacy product development
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and other teams
  • Define product roadmaps and OKRs
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in technology or business
  • Experience delivering technical presentations to senior leadership
  • Experience in business functions (marketing, operations, consulting)
  • Software development experience for data privacy/security
  • Experience working with UX/UI teams

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience in product management and data storage.
  • 2 years of experience in developing or launching products or technologies within security, privacy, or a related area.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting, etc).
  • 3 years of experience in building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management, differential privacy, encryption, location services, etc).
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

You will be responsible for building products and capabilities which ensure the security, privacy and governance needs of Google Cloud Storage (GCS) customer's data. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work with partner teams (e.g., engineers, program managers, UX, etc.) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn Product Requirements Document (PRDs) into Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for one or more teams.
  • Define product roadmaps by operationalizing strategy.
  • Drive strategy, goal and execution of Google Cloud Storage (GCS) security and governance capabilities.
  • Accelerate adoption and business growth by partnering cross-functionally with product area, account and solution teams.
  • Understand the tests and opportunities associated with building a service for the scale and breadth of Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
