About the role
As the Events, Games & International Publicity Coordinator you will work with the overall Communications teams to amplify Crunchyroll's brand awareness around global events strategy and rollout of standalone games and games on the Crunchyroll Game Vault as well as support all the regional teams. You will help develop strategic publicity campaigns that promote Crunchyroll.
We are looking for a blend of creativity, and operational efficiency to enhance Crunchyroll's brand and content within the anime and entertainment communities around Games and Events as well as support international communications programs operations.
- Oversee news reporting functions around Games and Events, ensuring accurate updates for all partners alongside important “day one” and “campaign” reporting needs.
- Track industry news in the games and events space.
- Contribute to developing publicity campaigns for games and events, working with new and main outlets.
- Support the submission process for Games and Events awards and manage the awards calendar.
- Staff events, conventions, and press junkets including Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
- Support international strategic communications programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, and external partners
- Manage, and help maintain the team’s press lists.
- Help create and share press materials, including press releases, media alerts, press kits, briefing documents, run of shows and pitch documents for events, games and international.
- Assist with strategic communications planning, including presentations and internal communications.
- Field incoming press inquiries and coordinate responses.
We are considering US-based applicants who can work in a hybrid schedule from our Culver City office. This is 6 month contact position.
About You
- 2+ years of experience in media relations in the gaming or entertainment industry
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience creating press materials such as press releases, media alerts, press kits, and briefing documents.
- An ability to manage press lists, awards submissions, and event coordination.
- Familiarity with tracking and analyzing industry news and trends
- Experience collaborating with internal teams and external partners to achieve shared objectives.

The Crunchyroll Communications team is composed of passionate publicists and storytellers who connect fans to the anime content they love. Our focus spans across multiple touchpoints, including SVOD, theatrical releases, events, merchandise, and more, ensuring our narrative reaches a global audience through effective and engaging press activities.
