Job Description

As a Product Manager II at Google, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of Gemini, a conversational AI tool designed to enhance user creativity, curiosity, and productivity. You'll work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to translate product requirements into actionable OKRs, driving product development from conception to launch. This role involves defining product roadmaps, securing buy-in for product vision, validating market opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful product launches, maintenance, and retirement. You'll be responsible for analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring Gemini to meet user needs, ensuring a positive impact on millions of users globally.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5 years of product management or related technical experience
2 years of experience developing or launching AI/ML products
Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Experience driving product adoption

Good to have:

Master's degree in technology or business
3 years of experience in business functions like strategic marketing, business operations, or consulting
3 years of experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations
Understanding of product development and go-to-market strategies
Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
2 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within AI/ML or a related area.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
Experience driving adoption of consumer products.
Understanding of product development and Go-to-Market.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Work with partner teams (e.g., engineers, PgMs, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn PRDs into OKRs for one or more teams.
Define product roadmaps by operationalizing strategy.
Develop and secure buy-in for a product outlook that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction, achieving an outcome that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Validate the market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity, revenue).
Drive launches, maintenance, and retirement in collaboration with other cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
