Product Manager Issuing

We have an amazing opportunity open in our Chicago office to scale our Card Issuing product to the next phase in its product maturity. For this role we are looking for a candidate who's passionate about financial technology, including innovation of new features and functionalities. You will be joining our Chicago based Issuing team which is responsible for several domains within our global issuing product. You will collaborate closely with the different product teams globally as well as functional teams to ensure a best-in-class Issuing product used by the biggest brands in the world.

The role is based out of Chicago and sits within our Financial Services product team which is responsible for all financial products we offer to our customers. Whether we work with large partner platforms, medium sized local merchants, or major international enterprise businesses, our products need to meet our clients expectations and seamlessly fit into their systems.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely together with your engineering team for successful development and scaling of card-issuing products. Amongst other things the team is responsible for Adyen’s dispute management solution. One of your first wins will be to drive this from MVP to a USP.
  • Perform in depth analysis of Adyen’s issuing solution, how it interacts with Card schemes and customers and will scope out improvements for our solution.
  • Actively engage with customers, commercial teams, compliance, Fiance and other stakeholders to understand their perspective and take their feedback into your product roadmap.
  • You will multiply your impact by guiding and growing the teams that work directly or indirectly on our Issuing offering.

Who you are

  • Experience -  4 to 8 years of working experience in product or adjacent functions within a fintech- or financial services environment focused on Payments. Experience in Card Issuing and/or Dispute management is a pre.
  • Analytics - You understand end-to-end transaction processing and are able to solve complex challenges and convert them into structured actionable solutions.
  • Entrepreneurship - you are hands-on, have strong project management skills in which you take full ownership and control over your projects, and have the ability to manage priorities to get projects done in time.
  • Customer centric: You are able to translate technical complexity back to customer impact and understand the needs of different customers.
  • Mindset - You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are able to form a vision and work with the engineering teams to implement that.
  • Proven record - you have experience in launching and scaling transactional banking products and have in-depth experience with at least one major market infrastructure.
  • Communication - You have solid communication skills to interact with both internal and external stakeholders from varying disciplines and cultures
  • Leadership - You have a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation will add value to a fast-growing business.

Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments

Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This diversity of backgrounds and cultures is essential in helping us maintain our momentum. Our business and technical challenges are unique, and we need as many different voices as possible to join us in solving them - voices like yours. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we welcome you to be your true self at Adyen.
