Job Description

As a Program Manager III at Google Search, you'll lead and execute the data protection strategy. This involves managing a portfolio of projects with multi-quarter roadmaps, initiating new projects, planning milestones and timelines, tracking execution and reporting, and collaborating with SWEs and PMs. You'll resolve project issues, define processes to accelerate development, manage customer relationships, and coordinate across multiple locations and teams. Strong communication with executive stakeholders is crucial. The role requires collaborating with a team of TPMs to establish standards and processes, focusing on data access, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring for software infrastructure within Google Search's expanding infrastructure.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience working with data access, risk assessment, or compliance monitoring for software infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 5 years of experience in program management of security programs or related technical fields.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Program manages a portfolio of projects, driving multi-quarter roadmaps. Initiate new projects: scoping, objectives, team dynamics. Plan projects: milestones, timelines, dependencies, timelines, risks. Track and execute projects: tracking, reporting, communication.
  • Collaborate with SoftWare Engineers (SWEs) and Product Managers (PMs) to drive software development projects. Exercise technical and product judgment to resolve project issues. Define processes for speeding up infrastructure and feature development. Manage customer relationships and customer onboarding.
  • Coordinate across multiple locations, engineering leads, and product management teams.Manage communications across a complex web of executive stakeholders. Collaborate with a team of Search Infrastructure Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to establish standards and processes.
