Job Description:

Designation: Research Manager

Gameskraft is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Research Manager to help us build long-term research capabilities within the organization. This position will design and conduct qualitative research activities through a dedicated user panel, that help shape key decisions around customer-facing changes, and ultimately improve the overall customer experience for our players. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user research methodologies and best practices, along with an agile, creative and practical approach towards execution.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Turn high-level business questions into systematic research objectives
  • Pick out and execute the right research methodology to address the aforementioned objectives; familiarity with some of the following will be preferred - User testing, Walk the store, Heuristics, Shadowing, Diary Studies, Card Sorting, Ethnography, Monadic Testing and Exploratory Workshops
  • Determine the right research set-up (IDIs, FGDs, Dyads/Triads, Triangulations)
  • Set-up, engage and manage a User Panel to run recurring interactions and studies with the same group - work with internal teams to enable the requisite features to streamline these activities
  • End-to-end ownership of the research cycle, including, but not limited to - Panel selection, Questionnaire design, Online/Offline Field Activity and Insights Generation
  • Deliver research outcomes in an easily consumable manner, and align with relevant stakeholders on the next steps
  • Work with the wider org to establish Research as a key enabler for critical decisions


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:


  • 6-9 years of experience in the field of Qualitative Research

Client-side insights-to-implementation experience or Agency-side experience on a long-term retainer account preferred

  • Education: Graduate or Masters (preferred) in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Sciences, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Behavioural or Social Sciences, Anthropology or related field
  • Detailed portfolio / demonstrable examples of end-to-end delivery of research projects (covering recruitment, onboarding, questionnaire design, filed activity and Insights Generation)
  • [HIGHLY DESIRABLE] Experience setting up and leveraging User Panels for recurring research activities
  • Good communication skills (written and oral); strong organizational & stakeholder management skills with the ability to multi-task and simultaneously work on overlapping projects
  • Comfortable working in an Individual capacity, while working with the wider org to build long-term research capabilities
  • Naturally curious, having an innate ability to peel the onion
