Job Description

The Senior Associate, Alternative Investment Specialist role involves reviewing and processing complex alternative investments, leading projects, and developing solutions. Key responsibilities include client interaction, proactive communication, monitoring and reporting alternative investment data, project involvement, and problem identification. The candidate will need to work with various systems across the SS&C landscape. This role requires a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, and self-initiative. Demonstrates specialized expertise to evaluate wide-ranging and complex issues and develop creative solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
  • Experience/knowledge in alternative investments, focus on private equity and hedge funds
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong Excel knowledge (Pivot Table, Sumif, V-lookup)
  • Analytical and quantitative skills to interpret complex investment data
  • Tech savvy, ability to quickly learn new technology
  • Team player mentality with ability to partner with various departments
  • 1-3 years working experience in financial services

What You Will Bring: 

  • Responsible for the review and processing of complex alternative investments.  Career level professional leading small, moderately complex projects or working on complex tasks that require a high degree of judgement, resourcefulness, and self-initiative. Demonstrates specialized expertise to evaluate wide-ranging and complex issues and develop creative solutions. Recommends new procedures. Minimally requires a Master's degree and 1 years of related experience, Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or high school degree and 5 years of related experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline 
  • Experience/knowledge in alternative investments, with a focus on private equity and hedge funds
  • The ideal candidate should be highly motivated; a self-starter who can meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
