Must have:
  • 4+ years in Business Analyst role, handling data analysis
  • MSc in relevant fields like Mathematics or Statistics
  • Experience in iGaming, e-commerce, or digital industries
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Tableau
  • Experience in Python, R, or advanced statistical analysis
  • Deep expertise in data modeling and business intelligence
  • Ability to lead discussions and influence stakeholders
  • Understanding of data infrastructure and data modeling
  • Commitment to improving analytical processes and deliverables
  • Fluent in English
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization techniques
  • Proven track record of mentoring junior analysts

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to analyze complex market trends, customer behavior, and business performance across multiple regions.

 

You will take ownership of key analytical projects, mentor junior analysts, and drive innovation in data analysis and decision-making. As the main team will be based in Malta, we are looking for a candidate who can work independently and take ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision.

 

 

 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 

  • Acting as a trusted analytical partner to senior stakeholders and country managers, providing deep insights into market trends, customer behavior, and business performance.
  • Leading in-depth analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and key drivers of growth across different regions, ensuring business decisions are data-driven.
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving advanced dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and deliver timely insights.
  • Driving innovation in data analysis, proactively identifying new methodologies and best practices to enhance business intelligence capabilities.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with data engineers, marketing, product, and finance teams to ensure data accuracy and improve data infrastructure.
  • Analyze customer acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies, offering recommendations for optimizing market performance.
  • Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions at a regional level.
  • Mentoring junior analysts, sharing knowledge, and ensuring high-quality analytical deliverables across the team.
  • Taking ownership of complex domain-related problems, leading their resolution, and implementing best practices in business analysis.
  • Building strategic relationships within and outside the organization to improve knowledge-sharing and industry best practices.

 

 

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

 

  • 4+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with demonstrated expertise in handling complex data analysis and strategic projects.
  • Strong academic – MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Marketing or other relevant fields
  • Experience in iGaming, e-commerce, or other digital industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Tableau (or any other data visualization tool).
  • Experience in Python, R, or advanced statistical analysis (e.g., A/B testing, predictive modeling, statistical significance).
  • Deep expertise in data modeling, business intelligence, and extracting actionable insights from complex data sets.
  • Ability to lead discussions and influence stakeholders by presenting numerical evidence in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, data modeling, and collaboration with data engineers to enhance data availability and quality.
  • A relentless commitment to maintaining and improving analytical processes and deliverables across the team.
  • Fluent in English.

 

NICE TO HAVE

 

  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization techniques (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
  • Proven track record of mentoring and coaching junior analysts, acting as a subject matter expert in business analytics.
