Job Description & Summary

As a Senior Consultant within Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services - Financial Services with Advanced German, you will provide the advisory services and encompassing support in the implementation of new accounting standards, such as IFRS and local GAAP for the financial institutions such as banks, IFNs, investment funds, insurance companies.

What you will be doing:

  • Providing accounting advice to financial institutions on complex topics.
  • Support banks and insurance companies in implementing new accounting standards, such as IFRS 9, IFRS 16 and IFRS 17.
  • Organization of technical events and trainings for banks and insurance companies.
  • IFRS financial statements preparation.
  • Deals and treasury accounting when financial institutions go through important change processes.
  • Compliance testing and reporting on specific requirements from regulators (e.g. agreed-upon procedures reports).
  • Improvement of reporting processes such as fast close project, GAAP conversion and implementation.
  • Reconstruction of Fixed Assets Register, Costing process, financial reporting advice, etc.

What we need from you:

  • University degree.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of work experience, preferably in reporting/audit support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an execution focus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Eager to dive into new topics and to learn new skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • Highly adaptable and open to change.
