Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary to support our software development and deployment processes. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline and automate workflows, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps practices, cloud platforms, and modern infrastructure automation tools. 

This person should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, DevOps or Information Technology (or related field) with at least 10+ years experience in DevOps Engineering and should have a passion for product development. This role will communicate daily with the CTO and Senior Program Manager. 

Technology Capabilities and Experience 

This person will have the following experience: 

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) 

• Proficiency in using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. 

• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack. 

• Cloud Platforms 

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 

• Strong understanding of cloud-native services and architecture. 

• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) 

• Expertise in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions. 

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. 

• Monitoring and Logging 

• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk. 

• Ability to implement and manage observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. 

• Scripting and Automation 

• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 

• Experience with automation tools and frameworks to streamline repetitive tasks. 

• Security and Compliance 

• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements. 

• Experience with implementing security measures in CI/CD pipelines and cloud  

Certifications 

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable environments.
