Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive the design, architecture, and implementation of complex CI/CD systems, server infrastructure, and deployment mechanisms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technical direction, deliver innovative solutions, and set the standard for performance, scalability, and security. As a key technical leader, you will shape the future of our DevOps practices and enable the organization to scale efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, reliable, and efficient CI/CD systems and infrastructure to support software delivery at scale
• Develop and maintain automated deployment mechanisms to ensure seamless application rollouts and updates
• Create and manage effective monitoring and alerting systems to enable quick troubleshooting and recovery.
• Build and optimize cloud-based and on-premises server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance
• Monitor and maintain the performance, reliability, and availability of critical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal user experiences
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of infrastructure and deployment pipelines to ensure reliability and scalability
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve critical infrastructure and deployment-related issues, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including software engineers and product managers, to define requirements and align on system design
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps, applying them strategically to improve system capabilities and workflows
• Drive continuous improvement in developer tools, infrastructure, and team processes to enhance efficiency and collaboration
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence
• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact live operations

 Senior Responsibilities

• Leading the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability

• Acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into understandable terms
• Helping resolve disagreements within the team by facilitating productive discussions
• Estimating time, resources, and risks for projects, ensuring timely delivery
• Identifying inefficiencies in workflows and suggesting or implementing improvements
• Leading the development of key features or components in a project
• Troubleshooting difficult issues in the system and optimizing performance
• Ensuring that critical knowledge is documented for maintainability and onboarding
• Taking responsibility for the success and failures of their tasks and projects
• Making choices that ensure the sustainability of the system and its future development
• Demonstrating professionalism, diligence, and a growth mindset

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills

• Mastery experience with:
  • CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or CircleCI)
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on scalable and secure architectures
  • Containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or the ELK stack
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go for automating tasks.

 Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8 to 12 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles.
• Track record of owning timelines, system quality, and planning in infrastructure projects.
• Experience mentoring other engineers within the domain of DevOps.
