Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in ML
  • Strong software engineering practices

  • Experience with REST APIs, tracing, caching, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring

As a Senior Machine Learning (ML) Engineer, you will play a vital role in building and expanding the core machine learning capabilities of Sinch's AI offering. Working as part of a dynamic and cross-functional team, you will have the autonomy to define objectives and goals, taking ownership of the entire product development life cycle - from planning and design to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. 

You will work in the Generative AI team of Sinch. The Generative AI team powers Sinch's products with Generative AI capabilities but not limited to that. The team has contributed AI to a number of Sinch products including Mailjet, Mailgun, MessageMedia, Engage, Contact Pro, SMS Campaigns, SimpleTexting and Chatlayer. As part of your job, you will evaluate, test, customize and deploy AI models into those products. While the majority of the AI models we currently serve are LLM-based, we are expanding into other areas such as anomaly detection and fraud detection.  

Our tech stack: Python, FastAPI, LangChain, Scikit, PyTorch, MLFlow, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, LLMs from OpenAI, Gemini and LLama 

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Interacting with stakeholders to understand problem details and requirements 
  • Analyzing data to gain insight about a particular problem and determine the best strategy to resolve it 
  • Experimenting with, applying, and benchmarking new algorithms 
  • Deploying machine learning solutions in the cloud and maintaining them 
  • Proactively exploring new and emerging AI technologies that can enhance the value delivered to our product and customers 
  • Setting up proof-of-concepts and transforming them into production-ready features 

Requirements

In order to contribute in this role:  

  • You are an AI enthusiast who keeps up with the latest trends in AI and ML, and loves to use these new technologies to solve real-world problems 
  • You have worked with machine learning for at least five years and are familiar with common machine learning concepts such as clustering, embeddings, neural networks,... 
  • You have successfully taken machine learning applications into production and you understand that delivering a robust solution requires more than just ML expertise.  
  • You’re skilled in software engineering practices, such as working with REST APIs, tracing, caching, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring, and know how to assess and enhance the quality of your ML solutions. 
  • You have built an LLM-based application and are keen to build many more! 
  • You are proficient in Python  
  • You are fluent in English
