Summary

The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for monthly management accounts closure (within 3 working days), supervising junior staff, cash flow management, ensuring correct financial dimension application, local audits (internal and external), VAT and tax submissions, balance sheet reviews, budget/forecasting support, balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly risk evaluations, process improvement, and ad-hoc reporting. The role requires adherence to GAAP and IFRS, handling confidential information, and collaborating with local and group accounting teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and attention to detail.
Must have:
  • 5+ years accounting experience

  • Local tax filing experience
  • MS D365 experience (preferred)
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Strong leadership & communication skills
  • English & Spanish fluency
  • Teamwork in fast-paced environment

Your mission

The Senior Management Accountant will perform in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and specifically in both local GAAP and IFRS. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters relating to daily activities and will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for closing the monthly management accounts in line with group policies, close in 3 working days
  • Supervise the Finance Assistant and/ or Management Accountant and review their work in the task where they assist you
  • Responsible for cash flow management and reporting
  • Ensure that Financial dimensions are applied correctly.
  • Deal with local audits, both internal and external
  • Submit VAT and other direct and indirect taxes and deal with any requirement from Tax Agency.
  • Perform regular Balance Sheet reviews
  • Support budget and forecasting activities, working closely with the Finance business partner.
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations in multi-currency ledgers and revaluations and prepare a monthly workbook
  • Complete quarterly risks and controls evaluations in the ICS software.
  • Provide support, where required, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of departmental and business goals and requirements
  • Establish or improve processes as required,
  • Work closely with the Local Accounting Team and the Group accounting team for Local and Group related audit matters
  • Ad hoc reporting as requested by the Finance Manager/ Finance Director

What you'll bring

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with working to tight deadlines
  • Solid experience with local tax fillings
  • The Group Accounting System is MS D365, experience with this system is preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong leadership skills as well as being proactive
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English and Spanish
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

  • Finance or professional accounting designation ie ACCA, CIMA
