Job Description

As a Production Manager, you will oversee silicone production, managing injection molding machines to manufacture seals for leading vehicle manufacturers. You will manage a team, coordinate production activities, and implement improvement strategies. You will also drive strategic growth, integrate new technologies, serve as a liaison for continuous improvement, apply lean technologies, optimize processes, and ensure quality control in accordance with IAFT standards. You will also oversee audits within the production area.

  • 5+ years of Production/Operations Manager experience.
  • Proficiency in both German and English.
  • Background in automotive or industrial sector.

As a Production Manager, you will oversee our silicone production, managing 90 injection molding machines to manufacture seals that protect various plug connections for leading vehicle manufactures.

 

Your Tasks

  • Reports directly to the Plant Manager

  • Overseas a team comprising a foremen, 4 shift mangers, and 2 production support staff

  • Coordinates and manages production activities and personnel scheduling

  • Leads and executes projects, while implementing management routines focused on continuous improvement and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Drive strategic growth in the area, including capital expenditure (Capex) planning and the integration of new technologies

  • Serve as the primary liaison with global and European teams for continuous improvement initiatives

  • Implement operational excellence strategies

  • Actively apply lean technologies to achieve sustainable improvements in production processes

  • Conduct structured process optimization for resolving issues with problematic tools

  • Execution with quality-related measures in accordance with IAFT standards

  • Oversight and leadership of internal and external audits within the production area

 

 

Your Background: 

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Manager or Operations Manager

  • Proficiency in both German and English

  • Background in the automotive or industrial sector
