FORKAST seeks a Social Media Specialist to develop and implement its social media strategy. Responsibilities include managing social media content (posting, meme creation, commenting on trends), creating daily content (text, images, videos), collaborating with marketing and product teams, creating social media calendars, monitoring engagement and conversion rates, analyzing data using tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social, creating progress reports, evaluating campaign effectiveness, staying updated on social media trends, leveraging influencer relationships, and studying competitor strategies. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in social media management and analysis, a proven track record of successful campaigns, strong communication skills, and experience in esports, gaming, and entertainment. Native Portuguese and advanced English are required.

What We Do

FORKAST is the prediction market platform built for gamers, streamers, and internet culture. We're enhancing the way communities engage and interact. Users can create and participate in prediction markets based on trending topics in gaming, memes, streamers, breaking news, and web3 assets. 

 

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy, with the goal of increasing our online presence and improving our marketing and sales efforts. You will work closely with the Marketing and Events teams to best present our product, mission, and vision. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and implementing Social Media calendars to interact daily with our community, share market news, and generate excitement among our users in this ever-changing gaming environment.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee social media content including posting product highlights, creating memes, and commenting on trending topics that we want to create predictions for.
  • Create, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, videos, and reposts) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and events teams to develop a Social Media strategy.
  • Create and implement Social Media campaign calendars.
  • Monitor engagement, reach, and conversion rates on Social Media platforms.
  • Analyze Social Media platform data using tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social.
  • Create reports and dashboards to track progress and inform stakeholders about insights.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Social Media efforts and adjust campaigns as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Social Media.
  • Leverage relationships with influencers to increase reach and credibility.
  • Study the brand positioning of competitors through marketing strategies and Social Media campaigns. Identify ways to improve our market segmentation and better address our target audience.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Social Media management and analysis.
  • Proven track record of managing successful campaigns.
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms, analytics, and trends.
  • Ability to understand data and provide insights from it.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as Hootsuite.
  • Knowledge of best practices for Social Media customer service.
  • Experience in Esports, gaming, geek culture, and entertainment.
  • Availability to work in alignment with EST time zone.
  • Native Portuguese speaker with advanced to fluent English.
