As a Sr FP&A Manager at Dialpad, you will partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations leaders. You will provide data-driven insights and financial analyses to optimize resource allocation and assess ROI on marketing and sales initiatives. This role involves building the annual budget, managing forecasts and commissions plans, and providing decision support. You will enhance profitability, ensure optimal return on strategic investments, and fuel Dialpad’s expansion. This role involves financial modeling and analysis, monthly budget reviews, and providing recommendations regarding financial plans.
Must have:
  • 10 years combined accounting and FP&A experience
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Google Sheets or Excel
  • Strong modeling background, financial analysis, reporting
Good to have:
  • Experience supporting GTM or sales/revenue organizations
  • Experience with SaaS business model
  • Experience with FP&A/forecasting tools like Adaptive, Anaplan

About the team

Dialpad is seeking a Sr FP&A Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in financial planning, forecasting and analysis.  This position will partner with our Go to Market team, collaborating with senior management, operational teams, commercial teams and others to provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision making. 

Dialpad’s Sr GTM FP&A Manager will play a key role in shaping the company’s growth strategy by driving financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis across go-to-market functions. 

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience of working with fast growing organizations and familiarity with a SaaS business model. Additionally, they will bring exceptional analytical skills, strong communications skills, and a keen attention to details. 

Your role

As a Sr FP&A Manager, you’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations leaders to provide data-driven insights, financial analyses that optimize resource allocation, and assess ROI on marketing and sales initiatives to support efficient budget management. By monitoring and influencing key metrics such as LTV, CAC, and payback periods, while also building the annual budget, managing forecasts and commissions plans, and providing decision support, this role will enhance profitability, ensure optimal return on strategic investments, and fuel Dialpad’s expansion.

This position reports to our Head of FP&A and has the opportunity to be based in our San Ramon, Tempe or Austin Offices.

What you’ll do 

  • Financial modeling, including budgeting, reporting, what-if scenarios
  • Lead annual budgeting activities for the GTM team
  • Conduct monthly budget reviews with Senior GTM Leadership
  • Partner with all levels of management to gather, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forcasts
  • Present data in cohesive reports that provide clear communication
  • Conduct and prepare special studies  to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations
  • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance
  • Own commissions modeling and forecasting, monthly commissions reviews, and commissions plan design analyses
  • Assist with other projects as needed

Skills you’ll bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • At least 10 years of combined accounting and FP&A experience; experience supporting  GTM or sales/revenue organizations strongly preferred; Saas experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in working in Google Workspace, and advanced skills in Google Sheets or Excel
  • Strong modeling background, including financial analysis and monthly reporting
  • Preferably experience with FP&A/forecasting tools including Adaptive and Anaplan
