Responsibilities:
- Determine appropriate use of assigned sourcing and procurement resources to meet NPI business demands.
- Influence stakeholders and lead a team of sourcing and procurement professionals to achieve goals of Illumina’s NPI initiatives and Supply Chain organization.
- Manage and negotiate new product development NRE budgets with outsourced development suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Drive RFQs and strategic sourcing activities for new products as requested.
- Manage design and development partners and suppliers during the development phase to strengthen relationships and ensure continuity of supply while reducing business risks.
- Negotiate development agreements and statements of work achieving favorable terms that mitigate business risks and protect Illumina’s IP while reducing product cost and inventory levels.
- Avoid and/or resolve project-specific sourcing and procurement issues.
- Ensures execution and compliance of purchasing activities during NPI.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain NPI leads to provide sourcing and procurement support for assigned NPI projects.

Experience/Education:
- Requires Bachelor’s/may require an advanced degree (Master's), in applicable field or equivalent.
- 12+ years of direct work experience, with 3-6 years of people management experience in a multicultural setting.
The estimated base salary range for the Sr Manager, NPI Sourcing and Procurement role based in the United States of America is: $138,800 - $208,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
