Job Description

The Staff Engineer, Equipment Engineering will be responsible for developing cleaning machines suitable for requirements, conducting engineering experiments, and other assigned duties. The role involves completing reports, communicating effectively within the chain of command, and executing work assignments professionally. The engineer must organize work areas, store materials, and maintain equipment. Key skills include control systems design, process dynamics and simulation, and automation/instrumentation. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills, with an ability to adapt to new technologies and maintain attention to detail.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop cleaning machine in order to suitable with requirements.
  • Response in engineering experiment, account in cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
  • Completes any reports or logs and communicate effectively up and down the Chain of Command.
  • Understand and execute work assignment in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organized work area and stores material, fixture tooling, chemicals, equipment& inventory.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control Engineering, or Systems Engineering can be an added advantage.
  • Project Experience: Proven track record of leading or contributing to projects involving control system design, automation, or system integration. Experience with troubleshooting, optimizing, or maintaining control systems in live environments is valuable.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant software such as MATLAB/Simulink for control systems design, DCS/PLC programming tools (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens), and other simulation or modeling tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
  • Knowledge of Hardware/Machine design.

SKILLS:

  • Control Systems Design: Candidates should have a solid understanding of control theory (both classical and modern), including Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control, model predictive control (MPC), and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Process Dynamics and Simulation: Familiarity with the modeling of chemical processes, system identification, and dynamic simulations. Knowledge of tools such as Aspen Plus, MATLAB/Simulink, and COMSOL for process modeling and control system design is essential.
  • Automation and Instrumentation: Experience in process automation, instrumentation (e.g., sensors, actuators), and integration with control systems. Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, and other industrial control technologies is often required.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing issues in complex systems and applying control strategies to resolve them.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work in cross-functional teams, including engineers from various disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical) and other stakeholders such as project managers, operators, and maintenance staff.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex technical information clearly to non-engineering personnel, as well as for preparing reports, documentation, and specifications.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methods in an evolving industry, and a willingness to continuously learn and update skills.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to ensure high levels of precision in system design, control logic, and implementation, as small errors in control systems can lead to significant operational issues.
