Job Description

The Staff Engineer, SoC Architect will be responsible for proposing multiple SoC level architecture candidates for emerging memory-storage hybrid solutions and analyzing SoC architecture trade-offs. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining accurate models of CXL-attached storage systems using QEMU, developing and integrating new device models, and optimizing existing models. The engineer will also decompose components, perform hardware/software co-design, and establish strategic relationships with product planning and other teams to meet mass production requirements. The role requires presenting performance study results to design teams and other architecture teams.

Must have:

10+ years of architecture development experience.
Good knowledge of DSP, MAC, and NPU architecture.
Understanding and experience with QEMU and OS.
Ability to work well in a team.

What You’ll Do

SoC Architect team proposes multiple SoC level architecture candidates for emerging memory-storage hybrid solution and analyzes SoC architecture trade-off with performance model.

Location: Daily onsite presence at our Folsom, CA office in alignment with our Flexible Work policy

Design, develop, and maintain accurate models of CXL-attached storage systems using QEMU.
Develop and integrate new device models into the QEMU framework.
Optimize and refine existing models to improve simulation accuracy and performance.
Decompose components and perform hw/sw co-design to deliver high-level SoC architecture.
Establish strategic relationship with product planning, research, SoC designer, firmware development team to identify mass production level requirement.
Presenting performance study results to design teams and other architecture teams.

What You Bring

BE (MS or Ph.D preferred) in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of working experiences in architecture development.
Good knowledge and experience in architecting DSP, MAC, and NPU.
Good understanding and experience in QEMU and OS.
Self-motivated problem-solver with an ability to work well in a team.

Base Pay Range

$141,300 - $218,700 USD
