This temporary position requires a candidate to perform a variety of analyses that help evaluate supply chain planning activities. They will develop, optimize, coordinate, and drive the execution of supply chain planning schedules, forecasts, materials, build plans, capacity requirements, business and inventory strategies to meet customer needs. Responsibilities include conducting what-if scenario planning, influencing and recommending issue resolution strategies, resolving inventory issues, understanding and applying knowledge of demand, revenue, and warranty opportunities, providing quantitative and qualitative inputs to demand management, planning and controlling supply chain schedules and materials requirements, coordinating with suppliers for seamless material management, evaluating supply chain capacity needs, and interfacing with subcontractors.
Must have:
  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related
  • 5+ years' experience in Manufacturing Planning or Supply Chain Planning
  • Advanced level communications skills in both English & Spanish
  • Costa Rican unrestricted work permit
  • Flexible to work across different time zones
Good to have:
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analysis tools (Power BI, Advanced Excel, SAP or related)
  • Ability to graphically represent data
  • International Supply Chain experience

Job Description

A candidate for a temporary position with the ability to performs a variety of analyzes that help evaluate supply chain planning activities. Develops, optimizes, coordinates, and drives execution of supply chain planning schedules, forecasts, materials, build plan and capacity requirements, business and inventory strategies to meet customer requirements for supply chain areas such as, but not limited to revenue and/or warranty demands.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Conducts what-if scenario planning for engineering, products, processes, and inventory strategies as directed.

  • Influences and recommends issue resolution strategies in supply chain planning area. Resolves inventory issues, such as the depth, timing, and efficient flow of inventory, which support short term as well as long term business objectives.

  • Understands and applies thorough knowledge of demand, revenue, and/or warranty opportunities with no supply, demand at risk or other contingency scenarios to influence key business decisions.

  • Provides quantitative and qualitative inputs to demand management to optimize supply/demand balancing within constraints.

  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls supply chain schedules and materials requirements. Coordinates with suppliers to ensure seamless material management.

  • Evaluates supply chain capacity needs and capabilities to support business strategies. Interfaces with subcontractors for price, contracts, performance, and negotiations.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree minimum in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related.

  • 5+ years' experience on Manufacturing Planning or Supply Chain Planning

  • Advanced level communications skills in both English & Spanish language.

  • Costa Rican unrestricted work permit.

  • Flexible to work across different time zones to support business objectives.

  • Please note this is a temporary position with a duration of 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analysis tools (Power BI, Advanced Excel, SAP or related)

  • Ability to graphically represent data in a visual format to communicate relationships among complex data in a way that tells a story and makes it more accessible.

  • International Supply Chain experience.
