An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Lead to join our Future Combat Technologies team, part of Engineering, Technology and Safety (ET&S) capability in Bristol.
In this role, you will ensure that the technical strategy for the development and delivery of the electrical system is delivered to meet the need of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) effectively balancing performance, risk, cost and time. You will be working directly for the Chief Project Engineer and will coach the team of engineers of varying experience, deployed from group ET&S, in support of all programme engineering objectives in accordance with programme and divisional strategy. This is a technical role that is expected to lead a (potentially geographically diverse) team of engineering resources effectively in a challenging, self-directed and agile environment and ensures robust, timely programme delivery.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence Business there may be a requirement for an individual to hold a level of National Security Vetting (NSV). If the requirement is identified Rolls-Royce will support the application for NSV if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
The role will include travel between our sites in Bristol, Derby and Solihull.
