Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- Experience driving AI/ML programs and building applications.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) principles and their distinctions from traditional software development.
- Ability to execute, prioritize, and influence multiple complex, rapidly changing programs involving diverse teams.
- Ability to be organized and adept at designing and implementing efficient processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, even without direct authority.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

- Initiate and lead strategic pivots across multiple teams in response to evolving business needs.
- Manage project lifecycles, from gathering requirements and assessing risks to prioritizing features with stakeholders (product, engineering, etc.).
- Identify and resolve cross-functional and inter-team challenges.
- Use sound judgment to develop actionable recommendations.
- Design and implement scalable operational processes to enhance team efficiency.
