As a Technical Program Manager II at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to Cloud Network Capacity Planning. You'll define and onboard new products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure launches meet business needs and support supply chain capabilities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing onboarding processes for the capacity planning platform, creating standardized procedures and system automation. You'll also drive the scaling of new products, address issues, optimize resource allocation, and collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams. The role requires strategic planning, design, and implementation of network infrastructure to support new Google Cloud Programs in various regions. You'll work closely with engineering, planning/design, operations, and product teams for seamless deployments.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years program management experience
  • Network/data center capacity planning experience
  • Lead new Cloud Network Capacity product onboarding
  • Develop and implement capacity planning platform onboarding process
  • Drive scaling of new products, optimize resource allocation
Good to have:
  • 5+ years in technical program management (new product introduction in cloud)
  • 2+ years managing cross-functional projects
  • Experience building/implementing capacity management systems
  • Supply chain experience in tech new product introduction
  • Knowledge of cloud computing principles, architectures, and technologies

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with network or data center capacity planning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a technical program management role, with a focus on new product introduction within a cloud environment.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience building and implementing planning systems or software systems for capacity management.
  • Experience with supply chain practices related to new product introduction in the technology industry.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing principles, architectures, and technologies.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Cloud Capacity Network Planning team is responsible for network capacity planning across the Cloud platform. The team's mission is to deliver a positive capacity experience for customers. You will play a critical role in our expansion efforts, specifically focused on launching Google Cloud Programs in new regions. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, and implementation of our network infrastructure to support these launches. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, planing/design, operations, and product, to ensure seamless and efficient deployment of our network.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and onboarding of new Cloud Network Capacity products by defining the process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring launches that meet business needs and support the core supply chain capabilities required by the organization.
  • Develop and implement an onboarding process for the capacity planning platform, creating standardized procedures, documentation, and system automation to streamline the introduction of new products and features, considering supply chain implications in the planning phase.
  • Drive the scaling of new products, identify and address issues, optimize resource allocation, and collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure the platform can support increased demand.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement, look for ways to enhance the onboarding process and platform capabilities.
