Job Title: Tinsmith / Sheet Metal Fabricator

Working Pattern:  Onsite

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

The Tinsmith will lay out, fabricate, assemble and repair a variety of sheet metal plant equipment which requires fitting to reasonably close tolerances.

What you will be doing:

• Layout, fabricate, and assemble by soldering, brazing, welding, bolting, etc.,

• Install and repair ferrous and non-ferrous sheet metal plant equipment, such as guards, hoods, air ducts, stacks, hoppers, etc. holding reasonably close tolerances.

• Set up and operate all types of power sheet metal machines, such as shears, rolls, brakes, punches, presses, drills, spot welders, etc.,

• Use hand tools, such as snips, punches, hammers, wrenches, etc.

• Work from blueprints, sketches, verbal and written instructions.

• Use a variety of measuring instruments, such as scales, protractors, dividers, calipers, scribes, etc.

• Handle sheet rock and assemble manually or with the aid of material equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a knowledge of blueprint reading and shop math, including geometry.

• Must have a formal apprenticeship OR

• Eight years of on-the-job training to qualify as a Journeyman Tinsmith

• To qualify for this role you must be a US Citizen.

As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

For fully remote roles, employees can live in any state except Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Vermont, and Wyoming.

Hourly Pay: $35.18
