Job Description

Voodoo seeks a Senior 2D Game Artist to collaborate closely with the Art Director on their Hole.io game. Responsibilities include creating stunning concept art for characters, environments, and props; producing polished illustrations in various art styles; supporting the Art Director in executing the game's vision; and staying updated on 2D art techniques and mobile gaming trends. The ideal candidate possesses excellent drawing and painting skills, a strong understanding of color theory and composition, proficiency in generative workflows, and familiarity with Unity. The role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Role:

We're seeking a talented Senior 2D Game Artist to join our team. As a key member of our art team, you will be collaborating very closely with the Art Director to help shape and refine the game's art style, ensuring all 2D assets align with the overall vision. You'll be responsible for creating stunning illustrations, character and environmental concept art, as well as helping support with 2D game asset production.

    • Creating concept art for characters, environments, and props
    • Creating polished illustrations.
    • Adaptable to various art styles.
    • Supporting the Art director in executing the game vision.
    • Staying up-to-date with the latest 2D art techniques, production tools and workflows

Profile

    • Excellent drawing and painting fundamentals.
    • Strong understanding of color theory and composition.
    • Proficiency in cutting edge generative workflows, and how to best leverage them within your workflow.
    • Staying up to date on latest mobile gaming trends and being able to analyse and reproduce artwork across multiple styles.
    • Familiarity with Unity.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
